Professional Bios of Wayne & Donna
Wayne Eng is an entrepreneur extraordinaire, retired award-winning professional dancer, and owner/operator of ballroom dancing educational programs and dance championship events.
Wayne and his wife Donna competed in Dancesport dance competitions from 1981 to 1989. During those short 8 years, they became 3-time United States Latin Finalists, United States Rising Star Runner-Up, 3-time Blackpool Rising Star Finalists, and Eastern United States Champions. Additionally, they represented Hong Kong in the World Latin Championships where they reached the semi-final round.
In 1990, Wayne and Donna decided to retired from the competitive dancing arena to start a family. After that, from 1983 – 1994, they established their own independent Dancesport studio, quickly becoming one of the top independent studios in the nation.
ORGANIZER, Emerald Ball Championship Competition
Wayne & Donna Eng have been organizers of the Emerald Ball Dancesport Championship since 1989. For more than 30 years, the Emerald Ball has been one of the three largest dance competitions in America. In 2013, it became the largest professional/amateur dance competition in the world with over 15,000 entries.
FOUNDER, Dance Vision
In 1992, Wayne and Donna also founded Dance Vision, which has become the world leader in production and distribution of Dancesport instructional videos. Their company has produced over 500 videos, partnering with National and World Dance Champions. In 2001, the Dance Vision International Dance Association – DVIDA® Syllabus was created to teach professionals how to instruct students in the world of dance.
More than 400 independent dance studios and teachers have used their syllabus throughout the United States & the World. DVIDA® Syllabus is recognized by the National Dance Council of America. In addition, the Canadian Dancesport Federation recently adopted the DVIDA® American Style Syllabus as their official syllabus for certifying professional instructors. In 2018, the launch of Dance Vision On Demand provides dancers with instructional video through online streaming service plans.
Wayne is also the Founder of ProDVIDA (Professional Dance Vision International Dance Association). ProDVIDA is a professional teacher organization, open to all professional dance teachers and competitors. The mission is to identify those teachers who exemplify the highest levels of skill and ethical standards, through training, experience, and DVIDA® certification. ProDVIDA processes certifications to professional Ballroom Teachers at various levels with over 30 examiners in the USA and more than 1,000 members to date.
ORGANIZER, Mastery Camps
Dance Vision organizes the largest 5-Day Camp in the world for ballroom dancers. The Mastery Camp was launched in 1996 and continues to bring more than 700 participants from across the globe every year to Las Vegas, Nevada. In 2016 the camp was sold to the 4-Time United States Smooth Champions Slawek and Marzena Sochacki.

For 20 seasons, the hit show Dancing With The Stars has engaged Wayne Eng/Dance Vision to provide their dance floor. DanceFlex is the choice of over 600 dance studios! This is a 100% floating , shock absorption, and removable floor.
FOUNDER, California Gold Rush Circuit
In 2016, Wayne & Donna created a new Dancesport Circuit with a focus on the state of California. The California Gold Rush DanceSport Series is designed for competitors who live in or love visiting California. This state is a powerhouse of dance, featuring great competitors and thirteen exceptionally strong competitions.
FOUNDER, Dance Vision Circuit
In 2018, Wayne & Donna created a new World Dancesport Circuit with a focus on the Pro/Am community. In its first year, 70 competitions joined the circuit & $80,000 in cash prizes.
EXECUTIVE VP & DIRECTOR, American Ballroom Company & Competition
Since 2005, Wayne has played the role of Executive Vice President of American Ballroom Company & Competition. He is the current Competition Director for the Official United States Dance Championships. Since Wayne took on this position, the USDC Committee has become so successful that it is now rated as one of the top 5 Dancesport Events in the North America.
Philanthropy & Charities
Wayne supports the mission of the Khmer Child Foundation and helps with promotion, awareness campaigns, and fundraising activities. He also provides dance support and opportunities that support The Cure Charitable Foundation benefiting Cancer Programs and Research. Wayne also donates annually to the NV Junior Diabetes Research Foundation and to the NV Hope For Prisoners program.
Real Estate Experience
Wayne has managed real estate apartments & shopping centers in the Los Angeles & North California areas. He’s also built 2 office buildings, as well as two luxury custom homes in Las Vegas, Nevada.
Hobbies & Interests
In his spare time, Wayne practices yoga & meditation several times a week. He currently lives in Las Vegas, Nevada, with his wife, Donna, and enjoys quality time with their sons, Tyler and Jason.
