It's tomorrow!

I have to say, today was absolutely the busiest Thursday I have ever seen at the Emerald Ball....daytime tickets SOLD OUT!

Of course Dance Camp rocked with classes taught by Michael Mead and Toni Redpath, David Hamilton and Eddie Simon.

Sneak Peek Time.....

No rumors here.....Dancing With The Stars pro Tony Dovolani will be joining us as a guest judge on Friday Evening and will be filming a segment for Extra! on Saturday Evening getting pro and spectator opinions on the hit tv show.

Jonathan Roberts (who is competing at this event by the way) and Anna Trebunskaya are expected along with Anna's celebrity partner Evan Lysacek.

Shirley Ballas may make an appearance with DWTS pros Mark Ballas and Derek Hough.

And last but certainly not least, Cheryl Burke will be joining us on Saturday as well (time permitting).

Did you know that teacher's from 3 Cheryl Burke Dance locations are competing at this year's event?

Now you're in the loop.

Welcome back faithful followers.

Let's start with the amazing American Rhythm classes at Dance Camp.

First up Donald Johnson and Kasia Kozak.

Did you know Donald and Kasia have a new set of DVIDA Syllabus DVDs available at DanceVision.com? Click here for more information.

The surprise of the day? Dance great Sam Sodano (Organizer of the Ohio Star Ball) was joined by Dancing With The Stars pro Tony Dovolani and Emerald Ball judge Marianne Nicole for his fascinating lecture on What Makes Great American Style Dancing?

Moving into the evening session the Pre-Teen and Junior Latin and Standard events played to a packed house in our La Jolla Ballroom.

Following some terrific dancing the kids enjoyed a pizza party provided by our hosts Wayne and Donna Eng.

An unexpected guest.....Dancing With The Stars pro Dmitry Chaplin made an unannounced visit to the ballroom Friday Evening.

I have begun posting photos of the Pro/Am and Professional winners at Facebook.com. Click here.

Last but not least we are streaming live from our Facebook page using Ustream. Click here.

Until tomorrow.....

Dance Camp today was all about the International Standard.

We started the day with Victor Veyrasset and Heather Smith who never fail to get the students excited.

We had a new teacher this year. Glenn Weiss gave us his insight into CBM and CBMP, Foxtrot and Viennese Waltz. Everyone definately enjoyed Glenn's teaching style.

Moving on to Saturday night.

I can only say......WOW!

As usual we were at Standing Room Only early in the weekend but this year we completely sold out the ballroom to capacity.

One of the best nights ever was only made better by the Professional Open American Smooth Championship which began the Pro events with a 34 couple first round.

This year's event attracted EVERY top couple in the U.S.

Top honors went to Slawek Sochaki and Marzena Stachura of California. Click here for full results.

Of course we know Dancing With The Stars pro Tony Dovolani was here filming a segment for Extra! Look for your hosts Wayne and Donna Eng to be featured in that broadcast.

The celebs were out in force tonight with appearances by Jonathan Roberts and Anna Trebunskaya, UK dance legend Donnie Burns, Shirley Ballas (mother of DWTS pro Mark Ballas), Dmitry Chaplin and Louis Van Amstel.

The Professional Open Latin Championship was Saturday evening with Riccardo and Yulia wowing the audience, as usual, with their world class dancing.

Let's talk Amateurs.....the open Amateur Standard Championship featured 2nd place finalists Long Qi Yu and Audrey Siegel of China. Long and Audrey are only 16 years old and are the Blackpool Junior Standard champions.

For full results of this event click here.

One more day to go......until tomorrow bloggers.

Another day another year over.

Sunday was another great day of International Latin with Nadia Eftedal, Donald Johnson and Kasia Kozak and Marina Tarsinov.

Nadia's first class on Latin Technique was so well received the entire class voted to skip the Rumba and do another hour of technique.

Dancin With The Stars pro Cheryl Burke made an unexpected visit on Sunday Evening.

The Top Teacher race was close. David Alvarez of the Santa Barbara Dance Center won out over Martha Pohl of The Idaho Ballroom Dance Center. That makes two years in a row for David.

And this year's Top Studio is.....Edelweiss Dance Studio.

Don't forget to check out all the great photos taken by Stephen Marino of DecaDance Photography at http://www.facebook.com/accessdancevision.

A lot of Emerald Ball attendees are staying over and going to see Dancing With The Stars on Monday and Tuesday......what a treat!

Until next year dance enthusiasts!!
